Message from your Centre Manager

Fall into autumn and fall into fun at the Centre. Autumn is the most colourful season of all, and speaking of colours, have you seen our new St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre clothing line of raspberry pink and electric blue? We love to see everyone looking fashionable while supporting the Centre. We look forward to offering more apparel options soon.

Thank you to all that took the time to fill out the member’s survey and offer wonderful feedback. The responses will help plan for future programs, events and lunches.

We welcome all our summer vacationers back to The Centre. As activity increases and programs reach capacity, we have added new programs to accommodate growing class attendance. New programs this fall include: Chair Drum Fit, Get Fit With Weights, Beginner Fit, Men’s Strength and Fitness Class and Writing For Fun. We have a full program roster this fall season with your favourite programs returning this month.

Thank you to all our volunteers who help out every day with the board, programs, kitchen and office. We appreciate everything your do; The Centre wouldn’t be the same without you! If you are interested in volunteering, we have spots open in the office and are looking for an experienced baker. If you are interested, please stop by the office and apply.

Our Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon will be Wednesday October 9th. This year we will be offering a takeout-only Turkey Lunch on Friday, October 11th just in case you could not make it.

Seniors Picnic the Park has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 18th. Visit us and all the wondeful vendors at the park for food, entertainement and a ton of community information.
