A Message from the Executive Director
Embracing the Energy of the Season
As spring gently gives way to summer, we find ourselves surrounded by signs of
renewal – longer days, warmer sunshine, and flowers in full bloom. This time of year
often brings with it a renewed sense of energy and excitement. It invites us outdoors,
encourages us to move more, and reminds us of the joy that comes with being active
and engaged.
Healthy aging is not about doing everything at once – it’s about making consistent,
intentional choices that support your well-being. The energy of spring and summer can
be a powerful motivator to begin or refresh those habits.
Let’s take advantage of this season together. Step outside, breathe deeply, move often,
and embrace the opportunities that come with longer, brighter days.
This summer, we are pleased to have Connor stay on with us, he will be supporting our
outdoor programming at the park – particularly with our pickleball program. There is also
the possibility of offering beginner pickleball sessions here at the Centre, making it even
easier for members to learn and enjoy this growing sport. In addition, we are exploring
opportunities to introduce badminton as another fun and accessible activity for all skill
levels.
It’s an exciting time at the Centre, and we look forward to continuing to grow our
programs while helping you stay active, connected, and energized throughout the
season.
