A Message from the Executive Director
As we head into November and December, we’re excited to welcome the festive holiday season! We may be less enthusiastic about the cold and snow, but we look forward to the fun, laughter, and celebrations this time of year brings. Here at The Centre, there’s always something to look forward to. We’re excited to celebrate our 32nd Anniversary Dinner and Christmas Luncheon—two special events that bring members together for good food, great entertainment, and wonderful company. Did you know The Centre also hosts community events that support great causes? While these events aren’t organized by The Centre, we’re pleased to provide a venue where community groups can bring people together in support of important initiatives. This November, we’ll host Seniors Got Talent, The Sock Hop, and the Ed Yurek Memorial Charity Euchre Tournament. We’re happy to see our facility being used to support these wonderful independently-organized community initiatives. We’re also a drop-off location for Christmas Care donations this holiday season. Please see the Christmas Care ad in this newsletter for requested items and dropoff details. Every donation can help make the holidays a little brighter for someone in our community. The holiday season is a special time at The Centre. Our hallways are filled with laughter, kindness, and the joy of friendships—both old and new. As the year comes to a close, thank you to our members, volunteers, staff, conveners, and community supporters for everything you do. Your contributions and the incredible sense of community we share make The Centre such a welcoming place. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season.
